Classes, Workshops, and Camps
At Ghost Light, we believe in the de-commodification of creativity. We try to keep prices as affordable as we possibly can while still growing our business and paying our teachers.
For this reason, there are very few classes that we require special clothing or shoes for. You are more than welcome to dress in traditional dancewear, but comfortable clothing that allows you to move and is tight enough that your instructor can see your technique is more than acceptable. If you have any questions about where to find affordable dancewear or shoes, please reach out via e-mail and we will guide you in the right direction. We are more than happy to help.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Yes, please register for any class type so that we have your information on file.
No! We’re happy to have anyone in class. If you require any modifications, just let us know.
- Beginner: Absolute beginners or those looking to go back to basics for any reason
- Beginner+: Absolute beginners to dance (or the particular subject matter) or those looking to go back to basics for any reason. The + means that we may include slightly more advanced material to work up to.
- Beginner/Intermediate: Absolute beginners to dance (or the particular subject matter) or those looking to go back to basics for any reason as well as those interested in adding skills that are slightly more advanced. This is a great level for those looking to move up a level. More advanced skills or technique will be given as an option.
- Intermediate: Those who are feeling ready to move on to a slightly more advance level of skill and technique in a particular genre or those who are experienced in another genre of dance and are trying something new.
- Intermediate/Advanced: Those who are ready to move on to a higher level of skill or choreography. Advanced skills will be given as an option.
- Advanced: Those who have experience in the particular genre offered or those who are at an advanced level in multiple genres.
- Open Level: If a level is not specified, the class is open to all levels. The base class will sit somewhere in the beginner/intermediate range, and options for less or more advanced skills are always available.
If you have any questions about what level or classes are right for you or your child, please do not hesitate to reach out via e-mail.
