Dance
Katy Albert
Founder; Dance Soup, Modern, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Burlesque, Choreography, Stretch & Strengthening, Musical Theater
Katy was born and raised in Lewiston where she was bitten by the performing arts bug at a very young age. She started dancing at age 3 and found a love for putting it together with singing and acting in high school. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Acting and Directing from Castleton University where her love for collaboration was nurtured and the idea for Ghost Light was born. She stayed in Vermont for several years after graduation before heading to New York City in 2021. While New York has endless opportunities and she found herself in studios and on stages that taught her innumerable lessons and skills, she began having more intrusive chronic illness and pain symptoms that made it impossible for her to thrive in the city that never sleeps full-time. The siren song of the 207 called her back and she returned in 2023 with her fiancé and business partner, Olliver. After immersing herself in the theater, music, and fringe community in Maine, she knew it was time to make her dream a reality. Katy has relationships with professional and community theaters across the central and southern part of the state and endless artists in our back yard and beyond that she can’t wait to nurture connections and collaborations with. With a bevel in her step and a song in her heart, she cannot put into words how strongly she feels that now, more than ever, we can all have a chance to be the light in the darkness.
Hillary Perry
Littles, Tap, Musical Theater
Hillary is a dancer and performer who has danced and performed since childhood. Whether through musical theatre productions, taking classes (Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern), or dancing with an ensemble, she has not stopped dancing since she was six years old! She was bit by the theatre bug in high school, and went on to take theatre, music, and dance classes in college at the University of Southern Maine. Hillary was a dancer and choreographer with the Nevaeh Dance Circus (2017-20), has choreographed multiple musical theatre productions, acted in plays and musicals on stages all over Western and Southern Maine (since 2009), and has acted for the camera in many short films that went on to win awards and be seen in film festivals all over the country, as well as taking on roles while on set (make-up, set design, production assistant.) She also has co- written and directed scenes for Portfringe’s annual Pop-up fundraiser with her sister and their team, FrostHeave! (2019, ‘21, ‘22, ‘23). Outside of the performing arts, Hillary has found joy in working with kiddos! For over fifteen years, she has worked within childcare settings as a preschool teacher and behavioral health professional, as well as in-home care as a nanny, focusing on infants-preschool age. Encouraging the arts in the upcoming generations and inspiring passion in kids is hugely important to her!
Phoebe Edwards
Ballet, Modern
Â
Phoebe is a recent graduate from the University of Southern Maine’s voice program with with the Osher School of Music, earning her Bachelor’s of Vocal Performance, concentrated in Musical Theatre, and with a Minor in Dance. Phoebe is also a choreographer and made her official choreography debut at Community Little Theater in the Summer of 2025 for their teen theatre camp’s production of Beetlejuice Jr. She is so excited to get back into teaching dance after taking the last three years off to finish her degree. She hopes to continue to inspire her students and create a welcoming environment to allow students to grow in their skills, learn healthy techniques, and let them express themselves in a safe space through the art of dance.
Ali Odin
Littles, Ballet, Jazz, Burlesque
Â
Ali loves that through dance she can do anything, from defeat pirates and fly (as Peter in Peter Pan) to lead a feminist revolution (as Helen in Helen of Troy). After beginning her formal dance training in small town northern Maine Ali was able to build from a solid foundation in ballet, tap, and jazz technique as a student at University of Southern Maine. She’s been fortunate to have more than a decade’s worth of experiences performing with local companies including Vivid Motion, Inc. and Resurgence Dance Co. as well as opportunities to teach and direct adults at all levels for Vivid Motion, Inc.Â
As a teacher Ali holds firm on the philosophy that anyone can be a dancer. She works to meet people exactly where they’re at; the goal being to seek out and expand upon the skills and strengths students bring into class. In Ali’s classes students can expect a full body warm-up, progressions and choreography designed to build skills and musicality, and a good bit of silliness sprinkled throughout.

Olliver Young
Lighting, Painting, Design, Scenic
Â
Olliver was raised in the Upper Valley of Vermont and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theater from Castleton University in 2021. Later the same year, he moved to New York City with his now-fiancée, Katy. Shortly after the move, he was able to cross off a bucket list item and join the National Broadway Tour of Hairspray as a swing technician and travel the country while making life-long connections and learning invaluable lessons that have proven able to be applied in endless settings. He also worked as an audio and lighting technician on the Polar Express Train Ride in New Jersey for two seasons. Inspired by his favorite person- his brother, Eric, who has special needs- and his passion for education, Olliver began working for the Margaret Murphy Centers for Children as a BHP and Ed-Tech upon his move to Maine. Working in the school and finding where his artistic love fits in here in L/A, he found the perfect collaboration with his partner and this dream company. While continuing his work with MMCC, he is excited to teach and integrate accessibility and radical inclusivity into his courses and workshops.
